Rosacea skin

Rosacea usually begins with flushing episode (flushes or flushing), initiated in particular by heat. These flushes can result in fear of the heat and "hot-cold" (moving from a cold to warm). The redness of the face is related to the nose, cheeks or forehead and chin. Then, the redness of the face become constants.

Rosacea skin stages

There are 4 stages of rosacea, including rosacea itself:

  • Stage 1 is marked by bouts of facial flushing during exposure to triggers (hot drink, confined atmosphere, alcohol). Note that we can short-circuit the surge embarrassing sucking an icicle.
  • Stage 2: The redness of the face is constant, most often associated with small vessels called telangiectasia.
  • Stage 3: Face pimples is rosacea itself. These buttons can be uniformly red (papules) or include a "white head" in the middle (pustules).
  • Stage 4: This stage of rosacea usually affects men. It is a constant swelling of certain areas of the face (eg the "drinker's mug, whose thick red nose is called rhinophyma).

It should be noted that almost one in two patients is showing eye signs (dry eye, redness, itching, inflammation). Among the ocular lesions, rosacea, may include conjunctivitis or chalazions. The ocular manifestations of rosacea are treated by ophthalmologists, and are sometimes enhanced by the treatment of rosacea.
